About Me

My story begins in 1967. My childhood consisted of the usual: puppy love, happiness, and oblivion. The things I didn't know didn't hurt me. The older I got, the more knowledge I obtained, and seemingly I obtained more problems, too!

At the age of 22, I welcomed my first child. Eleven years later at the age of 33, I welcomed my last. I took on many life challenges including multiple wars as a United States Army Soldier. Only at the age of 54 did I experience my worst heartbreak. Through it all, I didn't die. I didn't die. Instead, I absorbed connections and love like a hot southern biscuit absorbs gravy. My Faith is strong in knowing the battle is not mine but the Lord's. I've lived through a story that's been critically acclaimed with every chapter proving me to be more and more invincible.

Look at me! I'm fit! I'm young! And if I do say so myself, I'm quite handsome!

Never in my life, did I think I would experience such a diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma. What happened to my invincibility? Is this how my story ends?

I don't know. The truth is, nobody knows. What I do know is: you either get busy living or get busy dying. If I've survived before, what makes anyone think I can't do it again? So, as the pages of my book continue to turn, join me on a quest to remission as I continue to live my life with an abundance of love, joy, and adventure. This is only the beginning.
